Stage6 88cc Streetrace Cast Iron Derbi Euro 2 Cylinder Kit, the popular cast iron tuning cylinder from Stage6. In addition to traditional scooter tuning, Stage6 is primarily known for its high-quality parts for modern scooters with CVT, but some time ago they decided to expand into the production of parts for mopeds with gearbox (Supermotard etc.). First they launched a 50cc line, now they have added two kits with 77cc and 88cc, because we all know: there is no replacement for the displacement!

The kit includes:

88cc grey cast iron cylinder, d=50 mm, 5 transfer ports and single exhaust

2-ring piston, 50 mm

High compression monoblock cylinder head, aluminum

gaskets (head and base) and hardware

The cylinder performance is quite impressive in all respects: take-off and acceleration are outstanding, and thanks to the increased displacement, top speed and overall power are much improved. The cast iron cylinder is extremely reliable and durable, so it is definitely suitable for heavy duty use.

When it comes to tuning the cylinders, the entire setup needs to be tuned; we recommend a 26mm carburetor, a racing exhaust, a tuning clutch (reinforced) and a reinforced crankshaft (long stroke).

The 88cc cylinder must be used with a long-stroke crankshaft (45mm stroke / 90mm connecting rod). To make room for the crankshaft, the crankcase must be slightly milled.

Our advice for running-in: The new cylinder should be run in for 300 km, i.e. do not go at full throttle. A 3% two-stroke mixture (1:33) is recommended to ensure a longer engine life.

Note: The cylinder looks decent and similar to the stock part. Stage6 have deliberately decided not to display branding on the cylinder, instead of the logo they have stamped "49ccm" on it. Don't panic, it is an 88cc cylinder and may therefore be NOT ROAD LEGAL (in various countries).
