A further upgrade for the timeless Ø 68.5 thermal group!
1983
The Ø 68.5 aluminum cylinder is born, a turning point in the development of the Vespa. In Nicasil aluminum, with a super light piston, 1.2 mm semi-trapezoidal bands, the new cylinder immediately becomes a myth, a real must for all enthusiasts.
2008
The cylinder is updated, with the addition of the head with hemispherical combustion chamber and central spark plug.
2013
The cylinder, although still made of Nicasil aluminum, is completely redesigned in the transfer ducts, both main and rear, and in the exhaust duct, and presented in three versions.
2016
Completing the long list of updates is the new piston with a black skirt, the result of a molybdenum sulphide treatment. The semi-trapezoidal segmentation and the crown remain unchanged, while the real innovation is in the completely new mold, in which the new slots allow not only a perfect connection with the latest generation of the cylinder, but also interchangeability with its previous versions. The ribs, completely revisited, ensure a very light design and even greater resistance.
2022
The connection to the muffler is allowed by a flange-connection assembly fixed to the cylinder by means of 4 cylindrical head screws and an O-ring sealing the exhaust duct inserted to avoid any leakage from the thermal unit. With this extremely simple assembly system it is possible to house all types of mufflers on the market with a Ø44.5 inlet with maximum resistance, avoiding any problem of unscrewing or rotation due to vehicle vibrations.
CONNECTION TO THE MUFFLER IS ALLOWED BY A FLANGE-FITTING ASSEMBLY.
TOURIST-SPORTS USE

More performing than the previous version, it is suitable to be combined with completely original engine crankcases or with slightly radical modifications, original or Ø 30 mm carburettor and with Power Exhaust Black Sound muffler art. 3218742.
The SPORT version cylinder art. 3118887 can be combined with the original head.
RACING USE

Suitable for use with a 60 stroke crankshaft and heavily tuned crankcases, with carburettors of Ø 30 and above, with a Malossi or expansion muffler.
(*) The MHR version differs from the SPORT not only in the exhaust port, but also in the decidedly racing transfer diagrams. The perfect centering between the head and the cylinder is guaranteed by two bushings placed on two studs, while the o-ring ensures a perfect seal.
