Malossi is pleased to present the new MHR TEAM II thermal unit: an even more innovative product, further improved in design and materials!
New MHR TEAM II CYLINDER thermal group Ø 47.6 aluminium H2O, 7 transfers, detachable head PIAGGIO/GILERA 70cc CONNECTING ROD 85 - stroke 39.3
This thermal group presents two major innovations:
- Machined from solid material nozzle equipped with front sealing O-ring (nozzle cylinder) and perimeter O-ring (nozzle-expansion) with burnishing treatment;
-The exhaust shape has been completely redesigned and, thanks to the exhaust connection machined from solid, the duct maintains an elliptical shape, resulting perfectly connected to the exhaust port on the cylinder. Transfer ports and exhaust ducts are even more regular and smooth, as they are made using a finer grain sand.
Technical features
- Cylinder: in primary alloy of aluminum, silicon and copper, obtained by gravity casting, hardened with 100-110 Brinell hardness. Machined entirely in the Malossi factories on high-precision work centers. Barrel with Cermetal sliding surface, hardness 600/630 Vickers, 30° cross-polished, roundness contained within 5 microns.
- Piston: in primary 18 silicon aluminum alloy with racing structure, reinforced, tempered and stabilized, calculated profile, single ring.
- Segment: in high-strength alloy steel, 0.8 mm (art.3115142.T0) / 1 mm (art.3115142) with chromed and lapped sliding surface.
- Pin: in FADH aircraft steel, case-hardened, ground and lapped.
- Head: in primary alloy of aluminum with 9 silicon dioxide, gravity cast, tempered and aged, machined on work centers with a tolerance of one hundredth of a millimeter.
- Head cover: in 12% silicon die-cast aluminum alloy, complete with viton O-rings.
Technical note: the thermal units listed above have been designed to be used exclusively in combination with Malossi crankshafts.
