And once again Malossi has pushed itself to the limit and a little further. With the Malossi MHR RC-One engine crankcase , Malossi has launched a completely new basis for tuning projects of all kinds. Until now, tuners have always had to somehow make do with original crankcases. These are obviously designed for standard equipment and standard performance, and have therefore always come up against design limitations. Original crankcases often do not leave enough space for the work and modifications that are necessary when installing more powerful components.
Malossi has addressed this issue and developed a milestone in the field of racing engines with the RC-One crankcase, throwing out traditional solutions and starting practically from scratch. The area around the overflow and intake has been completely redesigned, while at the same time the structural rigidity of the crankcase has been strengthened. Using the latest CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology, the inlet of the diaphragm block has been designed with perfect dimensions and optimized inclination.
Separate lubrication and conventional water pump technology have been abandoned to reduce frictional losses. The hole for the electronic starter has been closed and a pre-drilled vacuum port is present. The shock absorber mount has been better positioned and reinforced.
The RC-One for Minarelli is based on the RC-One for Piaggio, which means that Piaggio components must be used. However, standard Yamaha / MBK disc brake rims can also be used. The housing was developed for Malossi MHR cylinders with flange connection.
Ultimately, a real gem for anyone who loves high-end tuning!
