The MHR Team II ignition is an absolute novelty!!!
It manages multiple maps simultaneously without having to resort to PDAs, with a simple click. It allows you to translate the selected map by moving the OFFSET (+ or - 2°).
Malossi ignitions concentrate the maximum technology applied to competitions. The new internal rotor ignitions are born from the need to overcome the technical limitations of the original flywheel-ignition units, which do not guarantee constant performance above 10,000 rpm, causing significant and sometimes insurmountable tuning problems.
We have made the control unit even more immune to interference by developing a microprocessor based on uP STM8 - 8 Bit with superior computing capacity @ 20 MIPS to ensure a much higher spark precision than the previous version!
The MHR Team II range is equipped with a non-remappable variable advance control unit with 3 trimmers:
the first (MAPS) to determine the advance map selection
the second (OFFSET) allows you to move the selected map + or – 2°
the third (LIM) indicated in particular for 4-stroke engines, allows you to vary the intervention of the rev limiter (from 11,500 to 14,300 RPM + limiter excluded)
It also features 8 preset mappings which are distinguished into:
1 for 4T engines variable advance
6 for 2T engines variable advance
1 with fixed advance
Other key components have also been revised, such as the high voltage coil, now capable of delivering a maximum discharge voltage >40KV for normal engine rotation speeds of >3000 RPM and an extraordinary rise time @10bar >1750V/uS.
One of the most important innovations is the new rotor-stator group, whose static component has been completely redesigned from a mechanical and electronic point of view!
The assembly instructions will provide all the graphs to best set the advances on the different engines.
Electrical efficiency improved by 20%. Reduction of minimum starting speed from 450 rpm to 370 rpm.
The effects of this latest evolution translate into an increase in the voltage delivered to the spark plug, at the same rotation speed, which is far from negligible compared to the previous model.
