ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNITS

The incessant development of electronics in the motorsport sector has led Malossi to create and market a complete line of electronic control units for road and racing scooters which embody the highest technology.

Each control unit model has been specifically designed for the scooter on which it will be mounted, for this reason after countless tests on static and roller benches and on racing circuits an optimal ignition mapping (fixed or variable) has been defined in order to obtain maximum performance from the vehicle. Malossi electronic control units have also been designed to allow very simple installation, as they are interchangeable with the standard control units; compact and ergonomic, they connect perfectly to the original connectors.

Malossi control units also allow you to eliminate the rev limiter present on standard control units: in this way you can fully exploit the power and torque of the engine even at the highest speeds up to 20,000 rpm. Malossi control units are capacitive discharge and therefore allow you to limit the emission of disturbances during voltage discharge to a minimum; they deliver a practically perfect voltage peak on the spark plug (35,000 - 50,000 volts based on engine speed) and provide extremely high discharge voltages and discharge currents with surprising consistency when the number of engine revolutions varies.

TC UNIT RPM CONTROL

These control units have a microswitch, which can be positioned as desired on your vehicle in a sheltered place, which activates the rev limiter of your engine. The number of revolutions at which the rev limiter intervenes can be adjusted according to the type of your engine. To adjust the speed at which it intervenes, referring to the odometer of your vehicle, and acting on the micropotentiometer on the control unit, it is possible to adapt the intervention point of the limiter. The adjustment potentiometer has a considerable sensitivity, so it is necessary during the adjustment phase to make very small rotations until reaching the insertion point of the limiter suitable for your scooter.
