approved with MB 229.3 approval.
The MB 229.3 approval is much more restrictive than the 229.1 in terms of resistance to aging (extended replacement intervals, managed by the on-board computer) and requires fuel-saving performance: the saving is equal to 1.2% compared to a 15W40. The MB 229.3 approval is suitable for Mercedes petrol engines and for most Diesel engines without DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter).
The ACEA B4 specification requires excellent detergent and dispersant power and improved resistance to viscosity increases, due to the presence of soot produced by direct injection Diesel engines (made
exception for VW group pump-injector engines for which the product MOTUL Specific 505 01 is recommended
5W40 or Motul X-Clean 5W40).
The API SN specification guarantees the highest level of performance in terms of wear protection and engine cleanliness.
The PSA B71 2300 standard requires the lubricant to resist the most severe thermal stresses so as to be compatible with the majority of PEUGEOT and CITROËN petrol and diesel engines without DPF.

The Renault RN0700 and RN0710 specifications require lubricants capable of withstanding the most severe thermal conditions.
The Renault RN0700 regulation applies to all naturally aspirated petrol engines (except Renault Sport) of the Renault group
(Renault, Dacia, Samsung). The RN0700 approval also applies to all Renault cars equipped with 1.5 dCi Diesel engines without particulate filter (DPF) with less than 100HP output and with a replacement interval of 20,000km or 1 year. Always refer to the vehicle's use and maintenance manual before use.
The Renault RN0710 specification applies to all turbocharged petrol engines, Renault Sport and Diesel engines without particulate filter (DPF) of the Renault group (Renault, Dacia, Samsung).
The RN0710 approval does not apply to Renault Diesel cars equipped with 1.5 dCi engines without a particulate filter with less than 100 HP output and drain intervals of 20,000km or 1 year which specifically require a lubricant with the RN0700 specification. For the 2.2 dCi with DPF, use only an approved RN0710 lubricant and not RN0720.
The synthetic Technosynthese® base used reduces volatility and guarantees high lubricating power capable of reducing friction and ensuring resistance even to the high temperatures reached in the latest generation engines.
The 10W40 viscosity grade is perfectly suited to the latest generation diesel and petrol engines.
